Introducing the Pioneer Cottonwood is an impressive native selection from Central Alberta. Renowned for its vigorous growth, this majestic tree is among the largest species we offer, making it a stunning addition to any landscape. With its broad, sturdy trunk and expansive canopy, the Pioneer Cottonwood really stands out. Once established it's not uncommon to see 2 meters (6-8 feet) of growth during a growing season.

This tree thrives in a variety of soil conditions, showcasing its adaptability to the Canadian Prairie climate. Its fast growth rate makes it an excellent choice for those looking to establish a tall, resilient presence in their outdoor space. These trees have a high water intake and are perfect for areas where standing water is not desired. As a native species, Cottonwoods supports local wildlife, providing essential habitat for birds and other critters while contributing to biodiversity.
